When I come to New York there's always a fight to find shoes and clothing that are both comfortable and cute. This is a rough city. You could literally be out all day moving and shaking. At Fashion Week, there's a lot of pressure to have on the most fabulous clothing and the sky high heels. Keeping it 100% real, I just can't do it. If my feet hurt. I can't concentrate. In the words of Fleetwood Mac, sometimes you have to go your own way. I got these shoes from Sole Society (in the color crimson), because I can do the block heel. These shoes gave me a little height and I knew I would be able to stand up for my 5 hour event in them. As mentioned before, I am a size 11, but I sized up one to accommodate my foot width. So these are a 12. I spent about 8 hours in these shoes on a hard floor and they faired pretty well. I wish I would have added a gel sole to the shoes. Those can give your shoes a few more hours of comfort. You will want to note that this shoe comes in multiple colors, but all of the colors don't go up to a size 12, so check each color to see which ones do.
Style Notes: I purchased this skirt and top from Ashley Stewart. This skirt has no stretch, so keep that in mind. I purchased a size 24 in the skirt. It was a pretty awesome fit and is a favorite purchase of mine this season, so far. The top I have on is a bodysuit and the dip is pretty crucial. The bodysuit portion helps pull it in place, but know that this is taped in place with double sided tape. I, personally, like this toupee tape. That tape doesn't move. I liked the low neckline so I taped the bottom, then taped the top to my bra. I know some of you may wondering what type of bra do you wear with something like this. I have on a deep plunge from Lane Bryant, find it here. I thought that maybe I was going to have to go braless and tape my boobs down, but this bra worked like a gem. The girls were in place ALL DAY!
