Dress - Nordstrom, Shoes - Lane Bryant, Jacket - Walmart, Earrings - Swarovski, Lip - MAC Candy Yum Yum
I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday. Can you believe it's Christmas is almost here?!? I swear as I get older time just speeds up. Months pass like weeks. Sigh. I spent it with my in-laws. It was nice not to have to host this year. Hosting Thanksgiving is A LOT of work. I felt like my back hurt from two weeks of stress and running around. I'm thankful for not having to cook. LOL!
This was my look for Thanksgiving. I included a dress from Nordstrom that I had been coveting for over two months. The designer first made it for regular sizes and then decided to produce it in plus. Oh Happy Day! Then I got it in the mail and it was too short. I thought I was going to have to return, but the hem length was plentiful. The dress was short, but there was about 3 additional inches that could be added to the hem from the bottom of the dress. I
For my hair, I decided to go tamed and curly. PopSugar approached me to review the Pantene Pro-V Truly Natural haircare line. Now, I was already familiar with this line and used the products, so this was already in line with my current routine. I specifically use this line when I want a more defined, more tamed curl look. This product is heavier in nature and is cream based. This is excellent whenever you are trying to define curls and reduce frizz. My routine for this look consists of washing and conditioning my hair with the Pantene Pro-V Truly Natural shampoo and conditioner. I like to leave a little bit of the conditioner in so, I don't rinse it completely out. Then I take the Defining Curls Styling Custard to my damp hair, distribute evenly. I also comb through. It gives me a chance to detangle, as well. I then take the the Pantene Pro-V Truly Natural Shine Serum Argan Oil and massage through on my damp hair as well. I use about a dime size amount. You can also use the this on dry hair as a moisturizer. Then I just let air dry. Blow drying will encourage more body. Air drying for me keeps everything tame, which was the look I was going for.
I love this line and a quick little tidbit. Pantene Pro-V takes hair donations for Cancer patients. When I did my last big chop, I donated my hair through them. Check out fun hair tips through their YouTube Channel here and be sure to like them Facebook.
